Alissa Czisny is back!

Author: Vladislav Luchianov

Yesterday there was a wonderful evening at the Skate Canada. I with a sinking heart looked at the performance of Alissa Czisny. And she has won this competition! But at first I want to thank all participants. There was a good struggle on ice. Why do I pay so much attention to Alissa?

Kirsten Moore -Towers and Dylan Moscovitch – Canadian shot

Yesterday’s pair’s free skating at the Skate Canada was remembered by many interesting programs. But, in my opinion, the most memorable was the skating of Canadian skating pair Kirsten Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch.

Their free program they skated so well that won the silver medal of the tournament. It was a delightful performance with incredible expression of emotions and complex elements. It was obvious that they go for every skating element in pleasure. In their movements on ice there was no constraint. Powerful energy directly spilled on the ice.

Alissa Czisny – Soaring above the ice

Review by Vladislav Luchianov

Alissa Czisny’s style of skating is impossible to describe. It’s so great creativity on the ice that I do not think that it can be with someone confused. There are skaters with similar styles. But it’s not about her!

Maxim Staviski: "Ilinykh and Katsalapov don’t have a self-confidence yet"

A two-time World champion in ice dancing Maxim Staviski, who skated together with Albena Denkova, believes that the Russian duo of Elena Ilinykh and Nikita Katsalapov still does not show a true professional skating.
“They are very technical couple with good programs, they skate well and they have a great future. But there are two problems. First – they still show more the junior skating. They don’t have a mastery of self-confidence and proper presentation. Elena and Nikita did not present themselves as masters.
