Ashley Wagner – Once Upon A Time in Nagoya

Author: Vladislav Luchianov

One of the most interesting artistic performances demonstrated today at the NHK Trophy in Japan Ashley Wagner, in her short program. The program Once Upon Time in America she skated last season, but as I understand, to the program was introduced additional elements of choreography, with which Ashley perfectly managed.

I agree that not everything was well in technique, but for the artistic side, the performance turned out great. Ashley Wagner lived this great story on the ice. She is beautifully expressed the theme of this famous musical composition by Ennio Morricone. Every her movement corresponded to musical rhythms.

All emotions were demonstrated. From the first minutes of her skating was felt that the athlete and the music are one. And this is not the easiest theme of music for figure skating. Ashley did the main thing – to express the fullness of music from the beginning to the end.
