Alissa Czisny – Rebirth

She did it! She did it again! And she did it just perfectly! Alissa Czisny is the two-time U.S. National Champion. I am delighted with her excellent performances. It was a great evening in the modern American figure skating history. Today I want to give the floor to some of her supporters, so you can imagine how she has inspired many people. It is only a small part of reviews of Alissa’s victory.

Sarah Meier takes the gold

Sarah Meier of Switzerland skated to the gold medal on home ice, Carolina Kostner of Italy surged from sixth to claim the silver and Finland’s Kiira Korpi earned the bronze medal.

From Bern to Greensboro

While the European skaters have more to fight the cold rather than with each other, on the American continent in the fight for the medals of the National Championships after the juniors have entered senior skaters. At the heated arena in Greensboro (despite the new “trend” of ISU) completed the short program in ladies event last night.

Bern 2011 – Pairs Free Skate

Aliona Savchenko/Robin Szolkowy of Germany struck gold in the Pairs event and took home their fourth European title. The silver and bronze medals went to Russia’s Yuko Kavaguti/Alexander Smirnov and Vera Bazarova/Yuri Larionov.

Bern 2011 – Pairs Short Program

Germany’s Aliona Savchenko/Robin Szolkowy took the Pairs Short Program ahead of the two Russian couples Yuko Kavaguti/Alexander Smirnov and Vera Bazarova/Yuri Larionov.
