Olympic Games in Sochi could become the most innovative
The sport of high achievements and high technologies are inextricably going hand by hand and constantly promote mutual development. This is especially true for the XXII Olympic Winter Games in 2014. Organizers have repeatedly said that the Olympic Games in Sochi will be the most technologically and innovative in the history of the Olympic Games.
In order to conduct Olympics at the highest level of technology not enough to build a modern sports complexes, comfortable hotels and transport infrastructure. It’s also necessary to provide the participants, organizers and fans from around the world of high-quality communication, to provide an access to the most comprehensive and timely information and convenient features for its processing and distribution, as well as many other communication services, without which the modern life is inconceivable.
The general partner of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014 is the Russian national telecommunication company Rostelecom. It will create in Sochi an ultra modern telecommunications infrastructure.
Rostelecom will strive to make each new project more modern, more technologically advanced and offering to fans more opportunities to obtain information about sports in Olympic Sochi. The company already has an experience not only of television broadcasts in the format of HD TV but also in a 3D TV format.
By 2014, the company will try to make available all these technologies to everyone.
There is one more interesting technological project. A system of individual broadcast which develops today and which allows any fan to choose the observation point for the competition can dramatically reverse our understanding of sports television.
