Carolina Kostner prepares to Opera on Ice

Carolina Kostner has returned from Florida where he completed the training session for the upcoming skating season and prepares to “Opera on Ice”, the event scheduled for Saturday, October 1 at the Arena di Verona, which will for the first time an original blend of opera and figure skating. Kostner finished a choreographic preparation of her new programs for the new season with her choreographer Lori Nichol.

“There will be some important new features that increase the technical part of my programs, but at the same time they suit my characteristics and my musical preferences,” Kostner said.

She visited the famous Roman amphitheater, in which will be held the grand event. Her presence was welcomed by Verona city mayor Flavio Tosi, who is also the president of the Fondazione Arena di Verona.

“It seems like a dream to be in images of two brave and passionate women like Tosca and Carmen and to be accompanied by the choir and the Orchestra of Arena di Verona.” she said.

Among the most famous participants of the Opera on Ice are the 2006 Olympic silver medalist and two-time World champion Stephane Lambiel and the 2010 Olympic silver medalists and repeated World champions Qing Pang and Jian Tong.

The organizers said that it will be a world scale event.
