By Vladislav Luchianov

Chinese pair skaters Wenjing Sui/Cong Han (152.08) opened a list of winners at the Junior Grand Prix in Riga. Their compatriots Xiaoyu Yu/Yang Jin (139.70) lost pretty many points in comparing with the leaders, but eventually won the second place. The third place unexpectedly but deservedly won the Canadian pair Margaret Purdy/Michael Marinaro (134.46).

Ladies. The first gold medal in the new season’s Junior Grand Prix has won Polina Shelepen from Russia (153.40). A struggle for medals was uneasy as after the short program the distance among contenders was very small. But Polina did a really big jump – from 5th place to the 1st. The silver medal of this tournament has got Chinese skater Zijun Li (148.19). The bronze medal took another Russia’s skater Polina Agafonova (141.84).
