Chinese Jin wins short in Courchevel

Yesterday night at the Junior Grand Prix in French Courchevel, after the ladies the junior men took the ice for their short programs. The main surprise came from Chinese Boyang Jin who finished first (62.98 points). Last season Boyang Jin was fourth at the China’s National championships.

The Japanese junior champion Ryuju Hino took the second place (59.70 points) after a mistake on his triple axel. He is less than half a point over defending Junior Grand Prix Final champion Jason Brown (59.33 points) of the United States, who two-footed his solo triple flip and later had his combination spin completely invalidated after falling out of his forward camel spin.
