Radionova continues new trend of Russian ladies

Russian Elena Radionova won the first stage of the Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating in Courchevel. Another skater from Russia Uliana Titushkina finished third. The second place took the Japanese Rika Hongo.

Radionova, who led after the short program, performed her free skate at a very high level, perfectly executing a very difficult cascade of the ladies figure skating – a triple Lutz – triple toe loop as well as all other jumping elements: 3flip, 3loop-2toe, 3Lutz, 2Axel, 3loop, 3Sal-2toe-2loop.

13-year-old student of Inna Goncharenko received for her free skate program 116.64 points. The combined total of the JGP first stage winner is 177.79 points. Elena Radionova outpaced the nearest rival Rika Hongo of Japan by more than 28 points. With such result Radionova would take fourth place at the 2012 senior’s World Championships in Nice.

Another Russian skater Uliana Titushkina, ranked second after the short program, in a free skating made a few mistakes and finished third with a result of 143.92 points.
