Lipnitskaia aims to compete at Grand Prix Final

Julia Lipnitskaia at Finlandia Trophy 2012

Russia’s Julia Lipnitskaia, who won 2012 Finlandia Trophy yesterday, said that one of her main goals is successful performances at the Grand Prix series.

“I’m very happy with my performance (at Finlandia Trophy),” Lipnitskaia said Team Russia-2014. “It was my first international tournament at the senior level. I’m glad that in my free skate program I did a difficult cascade of triple Lutz-triple toe.

But at the same time I made a mistake on my flip jump – it was double instead of triple. Of course, I still have to work on my programs’ improvement but in general I skated both my programs easily.” she added.

“My goals for this season are successful performances at the Grand Prix series. It would be good to compete at the Grand Prix Final, which will be held in Sochi. Also, I want very much to compete at the next junior Worlds.” Julia noted.
