Tuktamysheva recovers competing at the Cup of St. Petersburg

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, the winner of last year’s Skate Canada and Trophée Eric Bompard is recovering by taking part in local competitions the Cup of St. Petersburg, which take place this week.

Yesterday, Elizaveta captured a strong leadership after the short program with a result of 69.43 points. Liza skated clean her new program to the music “Love Story”, performing very well a complex set of technical elements, including the cascade of triple toe – triple toe.

It should be noted that Liza is very successfully managed the musical theme and its choreographic components, which indicates a significant increase in this aspect of her skating.

Recall that earlier this month her coach Alexei Mishin said that Tuktamysheva may skip her nearest competitions at Skate Canada due to injury and growing pains. Her next Grand Prix event is 2012 Trophée Eric Bompard, which will be held in Paris on November 16-18.

However, her fans do not lose hope that Elizaveta will be able to fully recover and compete at Skate Canada, which will be held in the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario from October 26–28, 2012.
