Michal Brezina: “More quads than in Salt Lake City”

Michal Brezina after winning the bronze at 2013 European Champs

Czech skater Michal Brezina, who took the bronze medal at the 2013 European figure skating championships, said that he is very happy to be medaled at continental competitions.

“I’m glad I was finally able to show a good result. My senior career began here in Zagreb, at the 2008 European Championships, and it makes my result even more important and valuable to me,” he said Russian media.

“The fight was very hard from the very beginning. It was difficult for all of us, because everyone was trying to skate program at the maximum. It was great to see so many quads and compete in an equal fight.” European bronze medalist continued.

“It was especially gratifying to perform in the strongest group of participants. Someone even calculated that we surpassed the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City by the number of quadruple jumps. So we can be proud of ourselves.” Brezina added.
