2013 European bronze medalist Elizaveta Tuktamysheva shared her thoughts on preparation for the coming World championships.

Reigning Russian national champion also told about her relationships with one of main rivals Adelina Sotnikova, who finished second at Europeans.

“I am preparing for the Worlds purposefully and calmly. Before the World championships we want to do some test-skating performances, so now I’m getting ready for them. And then, perhaps, we will go to a training camp in the United States.” Elizaveta said Sportsdaily.

According to Liza, it wasn’t pity to her to lose the second place to her teammate Adelina Sotnikova in Zagreb.

“It’s a sport. I won free skating but she won the short program and managed to get ahead of me a bit. There is nothing wrong with that. I have many competitions ahead.” she commented.

“Adelina is a good girl. We are friends. Our rivalry exists only on the ice but off the ice we have good and peaceful relations.”

Reigning Russian national champion already has set goals for the upcoming World championships.

“The most important thing to me is to perform suitably. I have to try not to fall below my level. It would be great to reach top three there.” Russian champion added.

The 2013 World figure skating championships will be held in London, Ontario, Canada at Budweiser Gardens from March 10–17.
