Tuktamysheva shares thoughts on Korean tour
2013 European bronze medalist Elizaveta Tuktamysheva after the World Team Trophy has begun preparations for the upcoming season.
Working on new programs, she toured with the Ice Theatre of Natalia Bestemianova and Igor Bobrin in Korea at the beginning of May.
“It was very interesting because I have not had this experience before,” Tuktamysheva said Fsrussia.
“But at the beginning it was hard. At some days we had even three performances. The first one was at 11 am, the second at 2 pm and the third was at 5 pm. However, after a week of six full working days I was used to that schedule. At the end of the tour I was relaxed, and was getting a big joy and pleasure from skating.” she continued.
“Ice show was divided into two parts. At the first part was the play “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and at the second part was a full show in which I and Artur Gachinski performed our programs. Sometimes we had to go on the ice almost non-stop.” Elizaveta noted.
Russian figure skater noticed that she did not have enough free time during the day time for the sightseeing. Thus, she discovered the Seoul night markets. When it’s getting dark, this city opens special nightly small shops and boutiques with different goods.
Elizaveta continues to work on programs for the new season. In the process of working on her new short program, the skater collaborated with a choreographer from The Mariinsky Theatre.
“I liked our cooperation. This choreographer suggested some unexpected things and added freshness to my programs.” reigning Russian champion said.
