Americans enjoyed strong showing last weekend

Team USA enjoyed a strong showing last week at the 2013 U.S. International Classic in Salt Lake City, winning gold in three of four disciplines.
Meryl Davis and Charlie White, started their Olympic season in style, winning gold by 20 points over Canada’s Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje. The five-time reigning U.S. champs will next be in action Oct. 18-20, in Detroit at Skate America.
Max Aaron defended the first title of his career, topping an entirely American podium that also included Stephen Carriere and Josh Farris.
In her senior international debut, Courtney Hicks took home gold. Joining her on the podium were Gracie Gold, who won her second straight silver at this event, and Samantha Cesario, also in her senior international debut.
Canada’s Kirsten Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch took home pairs gold and were joined on the podium by Americans Caydee Denney and John Coughlin and Tarah Kayne and Danny O’Shea.
