Radionova has simple goals in Oberstdorf
Inna Goncharenko, a coach of 2013 World junior champion Elena Radionova, told that her student has simple goals at the Nebelhorn Trophy, which will be held this week in Oberstdorf, Germany.
“We had test skating performances in Novogorsk in mid-August and different specialists gave us their suggestions and comments. We need such type of events to see and understand what to look for, what to add or correct. After the test skating we just worked on the correction of some points.” Goncharenko told Team-Russia 2014.
“In general, this tournament is a little bit not ours – in Oberstdorf athletes will be selected for the Olympics in Sochi and this goal will be the most important for them. Our goal is simple – to show good performances.”
“We are not in a hurry and do not seek to impress someone. Elena just need to skate at her level. Now it’s quite difficult time for her – a teenage difficulties, problems of growth and maturity. There are a lot of different things, so our task is just to keep our level.” the coach added.
Recall that this season Radionova will debut in the Senior Grand Prix. She has been assigned to 2013 Skate America and 2013 NHK Trophy in the 2013–2014 ISU Grand Prix series.
