Sotnikova took part in Olympic torch relay
Yesterday was completed the Moscow stage of 2014 Sochi Olympic torch relay in which took part the 2013 European silver medalist Adelina Sotnikova.
Russian figure skater did not hide her delight from participating in this significant event.
“I will never forget the yesterday’s event!” Sotnikova said Team-Russia 2014. “So much has happened in such a short period of time! It all started with the fact that I was late for a general meeting – in the morning I had to undergo thorough medical examination, and then got into a traffic jam, so I barely had time to start! But I still managed to arrive on time (laughs).
I definitely will remember these emotions for a lifetime! I’m very pleased to have taken part in the relay and that I was carrying a torch with the Olympic flame.” she noted.
Russian skater also shared her impressions on participation at last weekend’s 2013 Japan Open, where she finished fourth among singles losing to Mao Asada of Japan, Canadian Joannie Rochette and Ashley Wagner of the United States.
“I am absolutely not satisfied with my performance and, of course, with my placement. I know that I can compete much better and take first places. I was ready just perfect. My training process was also very good. Maybe I just wasn’t ready psychologically. Now I’m just going to somehow work on myself and fight with my mind.” Russian skater told.
In the coming 2013/2014 ISU Grand Prix series Adelina Sotnikova has been assigned to 2013 Cup of China and 2013 Trophee Eric Bompard.
