Yuna Kim: “I will accept any result”

Yuna Kim before going to Sochi Olympics

2010 Vancouver Olympic champion Yuna Kim of Korea went to conquer Sochi 2014. In Seoul airport she faced a huge number of fans and media representatives.

Before boarding, the “queen” of last Olympic Games answered to the most popular questions.

On Olympics:

“This is my second and last Olympics. I will try to do everything possible to show good skating and finish my career on a happy note.” official fan website quotes the 23-year-old Korean skating star.

On possible result:

“Figure skating is a sport based on the judging system, plus there is no guarantee that a skater will show her or his best on a certain date, so everything will be seen only at the events. If I will be satisfied with my own performance, I accept any result.”

On Julia Lipnitskaia:

“For Julia this is her first Olympics and she has just recently made her debut as a senior skater. I hope she will use this experience as a good start to her career.

Unlike her, I’m on another stage of the skating career and this is my last competition. I would not want to think too much about the officiating, about the opponents and other external factors that I can’t control. I focus on what I can do and will do everything possible, basing on my current sporting conditions.”

On sporting shape:

“My physical shape is good. The main thing is not to burden myself with unnecessary thoughts.”
