The 2015 U.S. Figure Skating qualifying season has begun Sunday, Oct. 5, with the Northwest Pacific, Upper Great Lakes and South Atlantic regional figure skating championships.

The remaining six regional championships take place throughout October.

More than 1,800 skaters in two disciplines (ladies and men) will compete in five levels (juvenile, intermediate, novice, junior, senior) at the nine regional championships. The top four skaters in each discipline qualify for one of three sectional championships, which will be held Nov. 18-22.

The pairs and ice dance disciplines begin their seasons at the sectional championships.

The top four finishers at the sectional championships earn a berth to the 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships set for Jan. 17-25, in Greensboro, North Carolina. The 2015 U.S. Championships are the final qualifying event for the 2015 World, World Junior and Four Continents teams.

Several members of the 2014-15 U.S. Figure Skating team envelope will compete at the regional championships, including Mariah Bell (Southwestern) and Tyler Pierce (Southwest Pacific).

Icenetwork will provide live results for all users and on-demand video for Season Pass subscribers.
